Zoe Saldana Drops Big F-Bombs For Haiti!
Put up or shut up, that’s basically what Zoe Saldana told friends who showed up to the Have A Heart For Haiti benefit Wednesday night at Palihouse in West Hollywood. The Avatar star, 31, gently persuaded her buddies the only way a determined friend knows how – by dropping a couple F-bombs! “Give whatever you can, but f–king give something, I know we can do it” she told the crowd as they cheered on her impassioned speech.
Aiming to raise funds to send to the quake ravaged country, the hostess with the mostest was a social butterfly as she took time to chat with each guest, thanking them for attending the event. Co-hosts Emile Hirsch and Avatar co-star Michelle Rodriguez scoured their rolodex for support as friends like James Marsden, Lily Collins, Gary Oldman, Marley Shelton and Topher Grace all stopped by.
“Twilight” director Catherine Hardwicke chatted with Emile, 24, who could be overheard discussing how to firm up some shooting dates as Catherine, 54, will be directing the Speed Racer star in a contemporary version of Hamlet.
T.R. Knight arrived with a female friend and bumped into former co-star Justin Chambers‘ wife, Keisha, who was solo. They had a lengthy laughter filled chat out on the patio, Marlon Wayans walked away a winner, carrying an over sized photo of a nearly naked woman on a piano, telling reporters “I’ll put this above my piano, if ever I needed more encouragement to practice, here it is”
Party goers had the chance to bid on some pretty hot items like tickets to the premiere of Twilight: Eclipse, floor seats to a Lakers game, or 3 nights in a secluded Maui resort.
The night went off without a hitch, considering –according to Zoe– it was thrown together in practically no time at all, “We like, basically put this whole thing together in 10 days, that’s why I’m so proud.” she told Hollywoodlife.com, beaming, “Its an amazingly short time for such an amazing effort. I’m so proud of everyone.”
